Description
Located at the very historic portals of Old Montreal, the Ruelle des Fortifications runs along the rear courtyard of the Marbella building. This historic laneway marks the foundations of part of the original wall that encircled and protected the city back in the 18th century. Marbella stands on the site of the very first expansion of the 350-year-old city near Rue St. Jacques and Rue Notre-Dame which rapidly grew into what we know today as modern, cosmopolitan Montreal, Canada's second largest metropolis.
The city of Montreal is recognized as the cultural capital of Canada and living at Marbella lets you take full advantage of everything the city has to offer. Just a few blocks north of the building is the Quartier des Spectacles, Montreal's major entertainment district. It includes the city's theatres and festivals.
