Society of Alberta Chess Knights and Roving ChessNuts hold scholastic chess tournaments and instructional programs for Grades 1 to 12 in Edmonton and surrounding region. Classes are offered in schools, libraries, community centres and at a chess training centre located near Rexall Place in Edmonton. Monthly tournaments are held and rated by the National Chess\'n Math Association. The next big event is the Northern Alberta Scholastic Chess Championships for Grades 1 to 12, Sunday afternoon, December 5, at the Central Lions Seniors Recreation Centre, 11113 113 Street, Edmonton.
