Description
Scene Study and Audition Technique with Kirsten Clarkson
THIS BEGINNER KIDS ACTING CLASS will introduce kids to all aspects of acting through scripts sourced from locally shot film and TV series or scripts specifically designed to teach a particular lesson.
Through games, exercises and scripted work young actors will learn:
To go after an objective
To overcome an obstacle
Build Interesting Characters
Find themselves in the role
Learn Audition choices
As you can see by the curriculum acting classes are good for anyone in that they teach a skill set we all must use in life and in a fun way!
Most of our students are professional actors so if any actor in this course would like to continue on to professional training we are happy to move them forward when they are ready.
ABOUT KIRSTEN
Founder and Senior Education Advisor at Young Screen Actors Academy, Kirsten Clarkson has been coaching Vancouver\'s top young actors for almost 20 years. Her students book everything from actor to leading roles.

She has coached hundreds of actors who have booked everything from Oscar winning features (ALMOST FAMOUS) to blockbusters like WATCHMEN & I ROBOT and series like ICARLY and VICTORIOUS plus countless locally shot films and TV series.
She has worked as an actor, writer, director, development executive, casting director and talent agent. Kirsten is a mentor for young women at the YWCA and sponsors Women in Film, New Westminster Home Learners, Seycove School and Servants Anonymous Society.
