It has a gorgeous widescreen LCD with a native resolution of 1920 X 1080 that rivals most 24" screens! It also has a newer, blazing fast 2.8GHz Core i7 quad core CPU, 16GB of high quality Hynix RAM, a super fast OEM Apple-installed 256GB hard drive, a built in SD card slot, and a very impressive AMD Radeon 6770 with 512MB of dedicated VRAM. With the newer technologies of Lion, OSX will off load some tasks to the GPU. This translates to a snappier and more responsive user experience. Having a great video card is definitely a major benefit. It also packs all the other great features iMac users have come to love: built in HD FaceTime camera, dual layer DVD burner, tons of I/O including ThunderBolt, great sounding stereo speakers, and nearly silent operation. Everything with this iMac is working great. The camera, I/O, SD card reader, optical drive, and speakers all work as they should. Thanks to the super fast CPU and powerful GPU, the iMac can handle intensive applications with ease. The Sandy Bridge based i7 CPU has a lot of awesome new technologies that do nothing but benefit the end user experience. Turbo boost will automatically boost the CPU speed when needed and Hyper-Threading allows each of the 4 cores to handle 2 threads, allowing OSX to see 8 virtual cores! This CPU is a major step above the other similar models with the i5. Also, because of the 16GB RAM, you can open and run more applications at once without having to worry about it getting bogged down.

This computer still has the complimentary 1 year AppleCare warranty on this computer. An additional 2 years could still be added. The computer is brand new and was only opened to take the photos and add the 16GB RAM.
