We are seeking an HR Assistant for our Corporate Office in Edmonton, Alberta.
As the Human Resources Assistant, you will be responsible for various support services within the Human Resources team.
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to the Human Resource team.
• Provide ongoing recruitment support by continually looking for new, innovative ways to recruit, including coordination and attendance at job fairs.
• Promptly respond to recruitment needs by efficiently and accurately posting job vacancies in local papers and via online job banks.
• Assist the Human Resource Advisor with basic associate and Employment Insurance inquiries and follow up.
• Support the Benefits Advisor with general Benefits questions and administration.
• Prepare offer letters and notice of terminations.
• Assist with populating the new HR (People@Work) database.
• Timely and accurate data entry into the HR database, including new hires, changes, and terminations.
• Filing and general office support.
Qualifications:
• Certificate or Diploma in Human Resources.
• Previous experience in Human Resources.
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must possess strong business writing and communication skills.
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Self-motivated and self-directed.
• Meticulous and organized.
• Results oriented with a proven ability to deliver in a demanding fast paced environment.
• Works well under pressure
