Qualifications
As the successful candidate, you will bring to the role:
a degree with postgraduate studies in Business Administration (MBA) or a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA)
3 to 7 years of related experience
enrolment in, or completion of, the CICA In-depth Tax Course
knowledge and understanding of Canadian income and commodity taxes
understanding of the general principles underlying foreign taxation
tact and diplomacy, and adaptability
French/English bilingualism, oral and written, with the ability to convey information and ideas clearly, as well as engage others
ability to work on several projects simultaneously, direct staff and respond to senior management requests in a timely, accurate manner
decision-making and analytical skills, and good judgment, with the ability to identify an issue or opportunity, draw conclusions and take action
creativity in developing presentations, including writing, charts and graphs, for boards, senior management, etc.
ability to gain commitment, have impact and inspire confidence, build and maintain strategic working relationships, as well as coach and develop others
competency in monitoring information, and in planning, organizing and ensuring follow-ups to make sure that work is completed efficiently
innovation in generating solutions to deal with issues and opportunities
