Operations Manager
We have an opening for an operations manager. The position reports directly to the shareholder owners and entails all aspects of small business accounting, human relations, Payroll, WCB and Employment Standards.
You will be computer literate and have a basic understanding of a web based business plan. You will be extremely literate and have impeccable attention to details. Some duties and responsibilities will be shared such as training, shift scheduling and booking the kennel. You will also be required to learn the operations of a busy pet boarding establishment and not be afraid to get your hands dirty. Therefore, you will be physically fit.
Management experience and the ability to manage staff in the current economy is required. Related experience pertaining to animals such as an Animal Health Technology Certification is an asset. As the operation is 7 days per week, you must be prepared to work the hours necessary when required to maintain the business. You will have a stable employment record, a history of positive performance, and a willingness to show company loyalty over the long term. Your primary focus is to maintain the current business plan, expanding it positively when possible, and increasing efficiency and effectiveness of the business. The right person will bring new energy and vigor to an already successful business. Salary will be negotiated.
