Description
The Historic Half Marathon is the largest of 9 running and walking events organized by TRY EVENTS with a projected participation of over 2,000 participants in 2009. The event includes a half marathon, 10K, and 5K race. The Historic Half Marathon supports 3 charitable causes: the Mountain View Conservation Centre, Friends of the Fort, and Canadian Tire's Jumpstart program. The Historic Half Marathon is on February 15th (Sunday), 2009. The Historic Half Marathon begins at the Fort Langley Community Hall and ends in the Fort Langley National Historic Site.
Such a huge event requires the participation of over 100 volunteers. All volunteers are asked to arrive at 7:00 am to be ready for the 8:00 am start; all volunteers will be completed duties by 12:30pm at the latest.
