Description
Offered for sale is my personal Nikon 300mm f/2.8D AF-S II ED lens. I have used and handled this lens with great care for the last several years. It has had a dedicated D300 or D200 mounted and I estimate that I have removed the camera body no more than 50 times during the life of the lens. The lens has always been stored and transported in a well padded Lightware case.
This lens has minimal surface wear from normal use -- no visible scrapes or nicks. The filter knob and strap brackets have slight brassing from rubbing in the case. And the area where the lens hood attaches has the typical rubbed paint from the lugs and screw knob on the inside of the hood -- the design of the lens hood is not one of Nikon's finest acheivments!
The carbon fiber lens hood has a few scuff marks on the outside and on the velvet fabric on the inside -- these are visible in the photos.
There is minimal internal dust and absolutely no internal fungus. The glass is absolutely pristine! The autofocus works perfectly and quickly. The diaphram works fine and there is no visible oil on the blades. There is no brassing on the lens mount.
The lens is serial number 202046.
