- engineering experience in opertaions, maintenance and decommissioning of nuclear facilities and associated fields will be considered.
- perform field walk downs to verify status of facilities against documented plans.
- sound knowledge of civil engineering and significant working experience in civil/structural engineering in the areas of building deisgn using steel, masonry, timber and reinforced concrete.
- sound knowledge of radiation protection principles would be an asset.
- able to work on $40–100 million projects.
- experience and knowledge of primavera.
- experience in dealing with engineering contractors.
- eligible for membership in association of professional engieners of ontario (peo).as reqiured,
- travel to external suppliers, to effectively execute the implementation phases of the proejct.
- ensure that deliverables meet the quality objectives of the project and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget.
- interface with design participants, technical staff and nuclear operators and obtain technical input, as required, operations engineers, to meet project and cleint requierments.budegts and scheudles follwoing applciable chnage conrtol procseses, work scpoe,
- idetnify, asesss and iniitate chagnes to apporved design. company manaegment and cleint organization, external contractors,
- good interpersonal and oral and technical writing skills are required to interact with team members, internal suppliers, project stakeholders, operations\' representatives.including, budgets and schedules,
- assist in developing project work packages, deliverables.
- sound knowledge of the national building code and national fire code and other relevant codes and standards used in the design, and decommissioning of nuclear and non-nuclear facilities, construction.
- coordinate and monitor services provided to decommissioning by external suppliers.
- provide innovative solutions to decommissioning and waste management challenges.sc. in civil/structural engineering or applied/building sciences.procedures, work scopes,
- prepare detailed decommissioning work packages, technical documents, estimates and schedules in support of decommissioning projects.
- experience on the handling of radioactive materials and knowledge on the hazards of radiation would be an asset.
qualifications
