Enterprise Risk Management is a multi-disciplinary function that seeks to promote a strong risk management culture across the organization. The scope of the group is broad, covering the full spectrum of risk, including operational, financial, environmental, political and strategic risks. The goal of this co-op placement is to understand and support the Enterprise Risk function at Agrium and build competency in the core responsibilities of the role which directly aligns to organization objectives. As the successful candidate, you will obtain hands-on experience in analysing risks that face our company.
Responsibilities:
* Aid in preparing quarterly and annual risk reports for the Board of Directors;
* Preparing bi-weekly external risk dashboard and monthly external risk updates;
* Supporting establishment of new processes that promote a positive risk culture;
* Supporting risk scenario analysis; and
* Special projects and requests from business units and risk owners.
Qualifications:
* Progress toward a Bachelors degree - Business, Economics, Engineering Science or other similar field (3rdor 4thyear student);
* Strong analytical skills;
* Excellent proficiency with  Microsoft Office;
* Previous co-op or work term experience;
* Familiarity with emerging trends in Risk Management and Governance is an asset;
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team setting; and
* Adaptable and flexible to changing needs of the business.
